Knowlify Courses is committed to ensuring that our platform is accessible to all users, including individuals with disabilities. We strive to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA as our target standard. We believe that everyone deserves equal access to quality education, and we are continuously working to improve the accessibility of the Knowlify Courses platform. Our accessibility efforts are ongoing, and we regularly conduct audits, user testing, and reviews to identify and address barriers to access.
We are actively working toward WCAG 2.1 AA conformance across the Knowlify Courses platform. Features we have implemented or are in progress include: semantic HTML structure with proper heading hierarchy; keyboard navigation support for all interactive elements; sufficient color contrast ratios (minimum 4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text); ARIA labels and roles for dynamic content and interactive components; alternative text for informational images; captions and transcripts for video content (available for all new courses; being retroactively added to existing content); resizable text support (up to 200% without loss of functionality); and focus management for modal dialogs and dynamic page content.
Despite our efforts, we are aware of the following current limitations that we are actively working to resolve: (a) Some older video content may lack captions or transcripts — we are adding these retroactively and require captions for all new course uploads; (b) Certain third-party embedded components (such as some payment widgets) may have accessibility limitations outside our direct control — we work with vendors to address these; (c) Some complex interactive features in the course player (such as drag-and-drop quiz elements) may not be fully operable by keyboard alone — alternative input methods are in development; (d) PDF resources uploaded by instructors may not all be tagged for accessibility — we provide guidance to instructors and are building automated checks. We update this statement as issues are resolved.
If you experience any accessibility barriers while using Knowlify Courses, we want to hear from you. Your feedback helps us prioritize improvements. Please contact our accessibility team with as much detail as possible about the issue you encountered, the assistive technology you are using (if applicable), and the URL or feature where the problem occurred. We aim to respond to all accessibility inquiries within 5 business days and to resolve substantive issues within 30 days where technically feasible.
We welcome feedback on the accessibility of the Knowlify Courses platform at any time. If you are not satisfied with our response to an accessibility concern, or if you believe we have failed to meet a legal obligation under applicable accessibility law (including Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act, or applicable state law), you may escalate your complaint. You may contact the US Department of Justice Civil Rights Division, or, if you are in California, the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing. We encourage you to try resolving the issue with us first, as we are committed to working collaboratively to find solutions. Formal complaints may be submitted in writing to: Knowlify, Inc., Attn: Accessibility Team, 1209 Orange Street, Wilmington, DE 19801.
